Tournament FAQ

Tournament start times vary but typically begin at 8:00 AM. Registration and briefing usually start 30 minutes before. Check individual tournament details for specific times. Late arrivals may not be permitted to participate.

Tournaments will proceed in most weather conditions unless there are safety concerns. In case of severe weather (storms, high winds), tournaments may be postponed or cancelled. Participants will be notified via email and phone at least 24 hours in advance if possible.

Boat usage depends on the tournament type. Some tournaments are shore-based only, while others allow boats. Check the tournament details for specific rules. If boats are allowed, they must meet safety requirements and be registered with tournament officials.

Winners are determined by total weight of fish caught (for weight-based tournaments) or number of fish caught (for count-based tournaments). All catches must be verified by tournament officials. Ties are broken by the largest single fish caught.

Allowed species vary by tournament and location. Common species include bass, carp, pike, trout, and perch. Some tournaments may have species-specific categories. Protected or out-of-season species are never allowed. Check tournament rules for specific species lists.
